VETERAN NOLLYWOOD ACTRESS MADAM SAJE REVEALS SHE ONCE STOLE FOOD TO SURVIVE DURING EARLY CAREER STRUGGLES

Veteran Nollywood actress Fausat Balogun, widely known as Madam Saje, has recounted the severe hardships she faced during the early stages of her acting career, revealing that she once resorted to stealing food to survive and often worked on film sets without pay. The online news platform reported that the actress described a period of financial struggle and uncertainty before gaining recognition in the industry.

Survival, she said, required extreme measures, as she and some colleagues occasionally stole food just to eat. Madam Saje highlighted an instance in which she participated in a film production at a school location but received no compensation for her work, emphasizing the harsh realities faced by actors at the time. She stressed that despite these challenges, perseverance and faith in one’s destiny remain crucial.

Reflecting on her journey, she advised aspiring actors to remain patient and resilient. “When your time comes, success will be inevitable,” she said, urging others not to rush their path to achievement.
