Actress Toyin Adewale has dismissed reports alleging that her son, singer Mayorkun, lost his Lagos mansion to a fire outbreak, describing the claim as unfair and misleading.

In a post shared on Instagram on Sunday, Adewale expressed frustration over what she termed an unverified report, while also offering prayers against harm directed at her family and appreciating those who reached out to check on them.

The rumour, which surfaced earlier in the day, originated from an Instagram blog that claimed the singer and his family narrowly escaped a fire incident. Reacting, Adewale urged content publishers to prioritise verification before dissemination, stressing that her family remains safe.

She criticized the platform behind the report, questioning its editorial standards and warning against the spread of false information, while thanking friends and supporters for their concern and messages. “Amen, Amen, and Amen IJN. So I Pray For My Family, Friends, and Colleagues. Eseun Modupe o. Thanks for checking on us. Thanks for your calls and messages. I truly appreciate. We shall not cry nor mourn over our children. No evil shall befall any of us. It is well with us all IJN,” she wrote.
