Transcorp Hilton Hotel Says Water Supply Fully Restored After One-Day Disruption, Debunks Social Media Claims

Transcorp Hilton Abuja has clarified that a recent water supply disruption at the hotel lasted only one day and resulted from emergency maintenance works by the Federal Capital Territory Water Board, contrary to false and misleading social media reports suggesting a prolonged crisis.

In a statement signed by the General Manager, Martin Zarybnicky, the hotel confirmed that the maintenance works commenced on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, prompting an immediate response from management to ensure guest comfort was not compromised. Martin Zarybnicky said the hotel promptly implemented contingency measures to maintain continued water availability throughout the maintenance period.

“We confirm that there was a one-day disruption in water supply, resulting from emergency maintenance works by the Federal Capital Territory Water Board (FCTWB), which commenced on Tuesday, April 14, 2026,” the statement read. “In response, hotel management promptly implemented contingency measures to ensure continued water availability, maintaining guest comfort and uninterrupted service throughout the maintenance period.”

Martin Zarybnicky further clarified that water supply was fully restored the following day, putting to rest what he described as false narratives circulating on social media platforms. “We further clarify that, contrary to false and misleading social media reports, water supply was fully restored on Wednesday, April 15, 2026,” he stated.

The General Manager reassured the public and stakeholders that the hotel has since maintained consistent and uninterrupted water supply and continues to operate at full capacity across all its outlets. “Since then, the hotel has maintained consistent and uninterrupted water supply and continues to operate at full capacity across all outlets,” Martin Zarybnicky said.
