Nigeria Secures Agréments for New Ambassadors to Key Countries
The Nigerian government has confirmed that the process of receiving agréments for its newly nominated ambassadors is ongoing, with several host countries already completing the necessary approvals.
Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abuja, disclosed that agreements have been received from key nations, including the United Kingdom, France, the United States of America, Ireland, Qatar, Benin Republic, Ethiopia/Djibouti, Senegal, and Sierra Leone, among others.
“The process of receiving agréments from the countries where our ambassadors-designate are posted is ongoing,” Ebienfa said, adding that the date for the Induction Ceremony will be announced once finalised and confirmed by the Presidency.
This development a significant step in strengthening Nigeria’s diplomatic engagements and international relations across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
