APC Orders Immediate Swearing-In of Newly Elected Party Executives Nationwide
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has directed the immediate swearing-in of all duly elected executive committee members across the country, reinforcing its resolve to strengthen internal party structures and deepen grassroots leadership.
The directive, issued by the party’s National Working Committee (NWC), follows the completion of congresses at the ward, local government, and state levels. Party sources say the move is designed to ensure a smooth transition, promote unity, and enhance coordination of party activities ahead of forthcoming political engagements.
In a statement released to journalists in Abuja, the party leadership stressed that all elected officials must be sworn in without delay, in line with the party’s constitution and established guidelines. It underscored that the process must remain transparent, inclusive, and consistent with the democratic principles guiding the party.
The leadership also called on members to put aside grievances arising from the congresses and work together in advancing the party’s programmes and vision nationwide. According to the statement, the newly inaugurated executives are expected to immediately begin mobilization efforts, reconcile aggrieved members, and reinforce party structures within their respective jurisdictions.
Stakeholders within the ruling party described the directive as a strategic step toward consolidating stability and cohesion, particularly as preparations gradually commence for future electoral contests.
The APC reaffirmed its commitment to internal democracy, discipline, and due process, urging all sworn-in officials to carry out their responsibilities with integrity and loyalty to the party’s ideals.
