DURELLA CLAIMS DON JAZZY SUPPRESSED HIS MUSIC WITH D’BANJ DURING MO’ HITS ERA TO MAKE D’BANJ SHINE
In a recent interview with Ruggedman on Naija FM, singer Durella has opened up about his time as a signee under Mo’ Hits Records, revealing why he and D’banj never released any music together during the label’s heyday.

Durella disclosed that he was signed to the label back in 2004, but alleged that label co-founder Don Jazzy actively suppressed his work, including the remix of his track “Tongolo,” because his voice and style were considered too similar to D’banj’s. According to Durella, the decision was made to ensure D’banj would shine as the primary artist, and as a result, no collaborations between the two acts ever materialized during that period.
Despite the claims, fans may recall that D’banj and Durella did eventually release a song together titled “Je Ko Bounce” after the Mo’ Hits era had ended. As Durella’s comments continue to circulate, attention now turns to D’banj and Don Jazzy for their response to the allegations.
