FG SECURES AGRÉMENTS FOR AMBASSADOR-DESIGNATES FROM TEN COUNTRIES

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced an update on the ongoing process of securing acceptance, known as agréments, for the newly appointed Ambassadors-designate. According to the ministry, the process is progressing steadily, with agreements already received from ten countries.

A statement by the Spokesperson of the Ministry, Kimibie Ebienfa, confirmed that agréments have been secured from the United Kingdom, France, United States of America, Ireland, Qatar, Republic of Benin, Ethiopia and Djibouti, Senegal, as well as Sierra Leone. The statement noted that other responses are still being awaited.

Ebienfa further informed that the date for the Induction Ceremony will be announced in due course, as soon as it is finalized and confirmed by the Presidency.
