KEYAMO ACCUSES DAVID MARK-LED ADC FACTION OF RELYING ON EMOTIONAL TACTICS OVER LEGAL REALITIES
The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has criticised the David Mark-led faction of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), accusing the group of using emotional tactics instead of addressing the legal challenges within the party.
In a post on his official account, Keyamo alleged that the faction had created the current impasse through their own actions. He advised the party to expedite legal proceedings, negotiate a political settlement, or explore alternative political options to avoid potential setbacks.

Keyamo stated, “The David Mark faction of the ADC appears to believe they can rely on emotional arguments to navigate a legal issue they brought upon themselves. The law does not consider feelings; decisions are determined by facts, evidence, and legal principles, not emotions or political maneuvering.”
He further emphasised that debates over the party’s “status quo ante bellum” were distractions, noting that the ongoing court case led by a duly elected Deputy National Chairman would ultimately determine the party’s leadership. “Until the court delivers a verdict, actions by either faction may prove meaningless after the Independent National Electoral Commission’s deadline for candidate nominations, potentially leaving the ADC without a candidate for upcoming elections,” he said.
Despite the ADC’s commitment to continue holding congresses and conventions irrespective of the Independent National Electoral Commission’s position or a Court of Appeal ruling, Keyamo cautioned against underestimating opponents, adding, “Never stop your opponent from making a mistake.”
