200 US Troops Wounded in Ongoing Iran Conflict
The number of United States troops wounded in the ongoing war against Iran has risen to about 200, according to the latest figures released by U.S. military officials, as the conflict enters its third week.
Officials from U.S. Central Command confirmed that roughly 200 service members have been injured across multiple countries in the Middle East, including Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, and Israel.
Most of the injuries are reported to be minor, with more than 180 troops already treated and returned to active duty. However, at least 10 personnel sustained serious injuries, including burns, shrapnel wounds, and traumatic brain injuries caused by missile and drone attacks.
The casualty figures mark a sharp increase from earlier estimates. Just days ago, the Pentagon had placed the number of wounded troops at around 140, highlighting how quickly the human toll of the conflict is rising.
In addition to the wounded, at least 13 U.S. service members have been killed since the war began, including casualties from missile strikes and a military aircraft crash in Iraq.
The injuries have largely resulted from retaliatory attacks by Iran, which has launched waves of missile and drone strikes targeting U.S. bases and allied infrastructure across the region.
The conflict, which began in late February, has rapidly expanded across the Middle East, drawing in multiple countries and raising fears of a prolonged regional war with significant humanitarian and geopolitical consequences.
