APC Releases Guidelines, Committees for 2026 Presidential Primaries
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the guidelines for the conduct of its 2026 presidential primaries alongside the composition of its Presidential Primary Election and Appeal Committees.
The party also unveiled the appointment of state coordinators and collation officers for the exercise.
In a press statement issued in Abuja on May 21, 2026, the APC said the decisions were approved by the National Working Committee (NWC) in line with the party’s constitution, the Electoral Act, and its commitment to a transparent and credible primary election process.
The statement was signed by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka.
According to the party, the newly approved framework is aimed at ensuring an orderly, fair, and credible presidential primary ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The APC noted that the guidelines and committees would provide the structure needed for smooth coordination of the exercise across the country, including the management of appeals and collation of results.

The announcement comes amid heightened political activities and ongoing party primaries across Nigeria ahead of the 2027 elections.
A video accompanying the statement was also shared on social media by the party leadership.
