Gunmen Kill APC Ward Chairman, Another Resident In Kano

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have killed the All Progressives Congress (APC) ward chairman in Rantan Ward, Bebeji Local Government Area of Kano State, Garba Buba, and another resident.

The attackers reportedly invaded Rantan community on Sunday night and opened fire on residents, killing Buba and another resident identified as Sulaiman Zunduma.

The attack has heightened security concerns in the area, coming only hours after gunmen reportedly stormed Chiromawa community in Garun Malam Local Government Area of the state.

During the Chiromawa attack, the gunmen allegedly abducted the Sarkin Noman Jihar Kano, Alhaji Yusuf Nadabo Chiromawa.

The latest killings have further raised concerns over the security situation in parts of Kano State, particularly as criminal elements continue to target communities.

The Kano State Police Command has confirmed the Rantan attack and vowed to apprehend those responsible.

Security operatives are expected to intensify efforts to track down the perpetrators and restore confidence among residents of the affected communities.

The identities and whereabouts of the attackers remain unknown as of the time of filing this report.
