The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike; Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo; and Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, have been named in the expanded Presidential Campaign Council of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general election.

The revised list also features former Ogun State Governor Ibikunle Amosun, former Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development Festus Keyamo, and the President’s Special Adviser on Policy and Coordination, Hadiza Bala Usman.

Former House of Representatives member Patrick Obahiagbon is also among those listed in the expanded campaign structure.

President Bola Tinubu will head the campaign council as the APC intensifies preparations for his re-election bid in 2027.

According to the revised arrangement, Wike will coordinate the campaign in Rivers State and the FCT, while Soludo and Adeleke will oversee campaign activities in Anambra and Osun states, respectively.

The inclusion of the three political figures is notable because they are associated with parties other than the APC. Wike is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, Soludo belongs to the All Progressives Grand Alliance, while Adeleke won the 2026 Osun governorship election on the platform of the Accord Party.

The revised council also provides for changes in the leadership structure and campaign responsibilities, with several political leaders assigned roles in mobilisation, coordination and election planning.

Senator Abdulaziz Yari, former Zamfara State governor, is listed as Director-General of the council, while Vice-President Kashim Shettima and APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda are among the party leaders in the campaign’s top hierarchy.

Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas and Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq have also been assigned leadership positions.

The expanded structure includes campaign coordinators across the country’s six geopolitical zones and at state level, alongside former governors and other party chieftains serving as advisers.

The council is expected to be inaugurated by Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, as the ruling party steps up preparations for the 2027 presidential election.
