Delta ADC Fixes April 9–11 for Congresses, Dismisses Disruption Claims
The Delta State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has confirmed that its congresses will hold as scheduled from April 9 to 11, with the party’s National Convention slated for April 14.
This was disclosed in a statement issued in Asaba by the Secretary of the Delta State ADC Leadership Team, Hon. Emeka Ozegbe.
Ozegbe called on party members and supporters across the state to ignore contrary claims, particularly an alleged announcement by one Austin Okolie, which he described as actions not in the best interest of the party.
He stressed that the responsibility for organising party congresses lies solely with the National Working Committee (NWC), noting that state chapters are mandated to implement directives from the national leadership.
According to him, the position was recently reaffirmed by the NWC during a meeting with state chairmen in Abuja.
Ozegbe assured party faithful that all arrangements have been concluded for the smooth conduct of the congresses and urged stakeholders to remain committed to ensuring a peaceful and hitch-free exercise.
He also cautioned members against being misled by individuals he described as opposed to the growing strength and prospects of the ADC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
