An easyJet Airbus A320 was damaged in a ground collision with a truck at Paris Orly Airport. The incident occurred while the aircraft, registration OE-IJO, was parked and empty, with no passengers or crew on board.

According to reports, the truck was carrying out maintenance work on the apron when it collided with the aircraft. Preliminary investigations suggest that the driver may have mistakenly accelerated instead of braking, resulting in the impact.

The collision damaged the fuselage of the aircraft and shattered the windscreen of the truck. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.

easyJet has confirmed that the aircraft is undergoing inspections and repairs in accordance with safety protocols. As a result of the accident, the flight to Rome Fiumicino has been cancelled.
