Ex-Super Falcons Goalkeeper Precious Dede Welcomes Quadruplets After Years of Waiting
Former Nigeria women’s national team goalkeeper, Precious Dede, has announced the birth of her quadruplets, describing the moment as a miracle following years of waiting for a child.
The former Nigeria women’s national football team star shared the joyful news via Instagram on Sunday, expressing gratitude and overwhelming happiness.
“After many years of waiting, God showed up in the most beautiful way; FOUR precious blessings at once. Double the boys, double the girls, quadruple the joy,” she wrote.
Dede further reflected on her journey to motherhood, adding: “One pregnancy, four heartbeats… endless joy. Proof that delay is not denial. He turned our waiting into wonders. When God writes your story, He makes it beautiful in His time. God didn’t just answer… He overdelivered.”
Dede is regarded as one of Africa’s most accomplished goalkeepers. She earned more than 90 caps for Nigeria before retiring from international football in 2016.
During her career, she represented Nigeria at four editions of the FIFA Women’s World Cup, three Olympic Games, and four Women’s Africa Cup of Nations tournaments, winning the continental title twice.
At club level, she featured for Delta Queens, Rivers Angels, Bayelsa Queens, and Norwegian side Arna-Bjørnar.
Her announcement has sparked widespread congratulatory messages from fans, teammates, and members of the football community, many celebrating not only her remarkable career but also her new chapter of motherhood.
For Dede, who once stood tall between the posts for Nigeria on the global stage, the latest victory appears to be her most personal and perhaps her most cherished.
