After undergoing profiling at the airport, the evacuees were moved to the Immigration Training School in Kano, where they were provided temporary shelter, food, medical care, and other basic necessities before being reunited with their families.
The ministry also acknowledged the support of the International Committee of the Red Cross and expressed appreciation to the government of Niger Republic for its cooperation during the exercise.
Reiterating its commitment to Nigerians in the diaspora, the ministry urged citizens abroad to obey the laws of their host countries and maintain contact with Nigerian diplomatic missions for timely assistance when needed.
