FORMER PRESIDENT BUHARI REVEALS HE LEFT OFFICE WITH SAME ASSETS AS WHEN HE ENTERED

Muhammadu Buhari, Nigeria’s former President, has made a notable statement about his tenure in office. Speaking to members of the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF) at his Kaduna residence, Buhari emphasized his commitment to public service and the welfare of citizens.

According to Garba Shehu, Buhari’s media aide, the former President encouraged the governors to prioritize the needs of their constituents. Buhari stressed that effective leadership requires balancing challenges and opportunities to drive national progress.

The meeting between Buhari and the governors was also an opportunity for them to express their gratitude for his contributions to Nigeria’s democracy. Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma, Chairman of the PGF, praised Buhari’s leadership and legacy, highlighting his role in founding the All Progressives Congress (APC) and his achievements in office.
Uzodinma noted that Buhari’s administration made significant strides in areas such as security, infrastructure, and social programs. He also commended Buhari’s recent endorsement of President Bola Tinubu, seeing it as a demonstration of party unity and continuity.

The visit by the governors was a gesture of appreciation for Buhari’s service and a recognition of his enduring impact on Nigerian politics. The meeting underscored the importance of collaborative leadership and the need for public officials to prioritize the welfare of citizens.
