MAN ARRESTED FOR KILLING WIFE WHO HAD FILED FOR DIVORCE

Lamar Bryant, 41, is behind bars after being charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of his wife, Takeshia Eads. Authorities say Eads had recently ended their 10-year marriage and filed for divorce, but Bryant refused to sign the papers.

The incident occurred on March 25, when deputies responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting. Upon arrival, they found Eads with a gunshot wound to the head. Despite efforts to save her, she succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.

According to investigators, Bryant’s actions were premeditated. He allegedly picked up one of their daughters from school, stopped at a liquor store, and then retrieved firearms from a storage unit before returning home. It was there that the shooting occurred.

Eads’ daughter, Cordeja Paige, remembers her mother as a kind and selfless person who put others before herself. Paige is now speaking out, urging others in similar situations to prioritize their safety and well-being. “It’s not going to get better,” she warned. “Think about your kids first.”

Bryant is being held without bond, and Eads’ family has asked that her maiden name be used to honor her memory.
