NIGERIA DEFENCE ACADEMY HOSTS 35TH CONVOCATION, OVER 2,000 GRADUATES
The Nigeria Defence Academy (NDA) held its 35th Annual Convocation Ceremony on Thursday, 25th September, 2025, at its permanent site in Afaka, Kaduna State, Acting Director Information and Public Relations, Enderline Chukwu, said in a statement.

Enderline Chukwu indicated the ceremony honoured 72 Regular Course Cadets and postgraduate students, with Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima as Special Guest of Honour. The Minister of Defence, Badaru Abubakar, was represented by Chief of Defence Staff General Christopher Musa. NDA Commandant Major General A K Ibrahim noted academic courses are fully accredited by the Nigeria Universities Commission (NUC). “The management’s passion for capacity building, discipline, optimum performance and skills has propelled most of its cadets to excel in various disciplines in foreign missions,” Ibrahim stated.
The convocation included conferment of degrees, presentation of certificates and academic prizes. Graduates comprised Cadet Officers, postgraduate diploma, master’s, and Ph.D holders across disciplines. Academic awards recognised best cadets with at least second class upper division. The Minister of Defence Award went to CDT G.A. Olowokere, best graduating cadet in Engineering and Technology. A total of 2,618 students participated in the ceremony. Enderline Chukwu noted honorary degrees were awarded to distinguished Nigerians. Acting Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Defence, Dr Sunday Musa Attah, was among dignitaries present. Enderline Chukwu highlighted the event underscored NDA’s commitment to excellence.
