PDP NWC AFFIRMS UDEH OKOYE AS PARTY NATIONAL SECRETARY

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has confirmed Rt. Hon. S.K.E Udeh Okoye as the substantive National Secretary of the party. This decision was made at the NWC meeting held on Wednesday, February 12, 2025.

In a statement, the National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, stated that the NWC thoroughly examined the attached documents, including the Declaratory Judgement of the High Court of Enugu and the Judgment of the Court of Appeal, Enugu Division. Ologunagba added that the NWC recognized, acknowledged, and confirmed Udeh Okoye as the National Secretary in full compliance with the judgment of the Court of Appeal.

The NWC has commenced transmitting its resolution affirming Udeh Okoye as the PDP National Secretary to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and other relevant bodies for recognition. Debo Ologunagba stated that the NWC commends all organs, leaders, critical stakeholders, and members of the PDP for their steadfastness and loyalty to the party.

Ologunagba reassured that the NWC will continue to be guided by the provisions of the Constitution of the PDP, Operational Guidelines, the Rule of Law, and the vision of the party’s founding fathers. This development comes after the PDP Governors Forum endorsed Udeh-Okoye as the authentic National Secretary of the party, advising the NWC to implement the court decision accordingly.
