The Forum of Zonal and State Youth Leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), under the leadership of Southwest Zonal Youth Leader Comrade Seyi Bamidele, has declared total loyalty and unflinching support for the Ambassador Umar Iliya Damagum-led National Working Committee (NWC).

This affirmation came after an emergency consultative meeting where the forum issued a strongly worded statement warning against attempts by agent provocateurs and political merchants masquerading as party loyalists to destabilize the PDP through acts of indiscipline and selfish conspiracy. “Our great party will not be hijacked by a handful of disgruntled, self-seeking individuals whose only motivation is money and personal gain,” the forum stated.

They condemned the meeting convened by a few impostors to endorse illegality, calling it a disgrace to the ideals and values of the PDP. The youth leaders reaffirmed their full confidence in Damagum, describing him as a steady, unifying figure who has maintained peace, inclusiveness, and order within the party amidst turbulence.

Comrade Bamidele further announced that genuine PDP youth across all geo-political zones are fully mobilized for the forthcoming Ibadan 2025 National Youth Convention, which he described as a “mass movement and rebirth of the PDP youth structure.” The forum urged all faithful youth members to remain steadfast, resist manipulation, and continue working in unity to reclaim the glory and leadership dominance of the PDP ahead of future elections.
