PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS BOARD CHAIRPERSONS AND CEOs FOR 42 FEDERAL ORGANISATIONS

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed board chairpersons for 42 federal organisations and a secretary to the board of the Civil Defence, Immigration, and Prisons Services. The President has also appointed a new managing director for the Nigerian Railway Corporation and a director-general for the National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI).

The Special Adviser to the President (Information & Strategy), Bayo Onanuga, stated that the appointments take immediate effect. Onanuga added that President Tinubu directed the board chairpersons not to interfere with the management of the organisations, emphasizing that their positions are non-executive.

Some of the notable appointments include Hon. Hillard Eta as Chairman of the National Youth Service Corps, Ministry of Youth Development; Prof. Bolaji Akinyemi as Chairman of the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs; and H. E. Abdullahi U. Ganduje as Chairman of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria, Ministry of Aviation.

Other appointments include Sen. Surajudeen Bashiru Ajibola as Chairman of the National Sugar Development Council; H. E. Sulaiman Argungu as Chairman of the Nigeria Bulk Electricity Trading Company; and Sen. Magnus Abe as Chairman of the National Agency for Great Green Wall.

Onanuga also listed the appointment of Dr. Kayode Isiak Opeifa as the new Managing Director of the Nigerian Railway Corporation and Raji, Kazeem Kolawole as the Director-General of the National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI).
