Real Madrid continued their perfect start to the 2026/27 La Liga season with a commanding 4-0 victory over newly promoted Málaga at the Santiago Bernabéu on Sunday.

Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappé were once again among the scorers as José Mourinho’s side secured a third consecutive league victory and maintained their 100 per cent record.

Bellingham opened the scoring in the 19th minute, producing a fine individual effort to put Madrid ahead. The England international was involved again shortly afterwards when his header eventually led to Málaga goalkeeper Alfonso Herrero putting the ball into his own net.

Madrid quickly made it 3-0. Mbappé found the net in the 30th minute with a sharp volley following a cross from Trent Alexander-Arnold, leaving the visitors with a mountain to climb before half-time.

The hosts remained in control after the interval, with Bellingham coming close to adding another when his effort struck the post.

The fourth goal arrived in stoppage time as Arda Güler completed the scoring in the 90+1st minute.

The Turkish midfielder combined brilliantly with Vinícius Júnior, who provided the assist before Güler calmly finished to register his first league goal of the season.

The victory leaves Real Madrid with nine points from three matches, keeping them at the top of the early La Liga standings.

For Mourinho, it was another convincing result as Madrid continued to combine attacking quality with a solid defensive display. The clean sheet was also the club’s first of the new league campaign.

Málaga, meanwhile, struggled to contain Madrid’s attacking pressure and were unable to find a way back after conceding three times inside the opening 30 minutes.
