Residents of Bimasa town in Sokoto State’s Tureta Local Government Area have bravely confronted armed bandits, rescuing abducted community members and killing several attackers in the process. The residents, who took matters into their own hands, pursued the bandits into their forest hideouts and engaged them in a fierce battle.

The daring operation resulted in the deaths of multiple bandits and the safe recovery of kidnapped victims. In a symbolic display of their victory, the residents returned to town with the leg of one of the bandits.
