President Bola Tinubu has assured Nigerians that his administration will sustain ongoing economic reforms aimed at boosting prosperity, inclusion, and empowerment across the country.

Speaking on Monday during a one-day official visit to Yola, the capital of Adamawa State, the President said the reforms were already producing positive results nationwide, particularly in education, healthcare, and infrastructure.

According to a statement issued by presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu expressed satisfaction with the pace of transformation and commended Governor Umaru Fintiri for what he described as effective governance and visible development projects.

The President emphasized that collaboration between the federal and state governments was critical to achieving macroeconomic stability and improving citizens’ livelihoods. He noted that policy reforms had enabled increased allocations to states, which he said were being used to execute projects that directly impact the people.

Tinubu praised Fintiri for investments in road construction and education infrastructure, describing the governor as a reflection of “a government of the people, by the people, and for the people.” He highlighted key projects commissioned during the visit, including an eight-lane road with an underpass designed to ease mobility and boost commerce, as well as a modern high court complex expected to strengthen the justice system.

The President urged state governments nationwide to devote more resources to poverty reduction, especially through improved access to quality education for children. He also thanked traditional and religious leaders in the state for promoting peace, unity, and cooperation despite economic and political challenges.

Tinubu further commended National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, describing him as honest, courageous, and committed, and expressed confidence that Nigeria would defeat banditry and terrorism under his leadership.

The governor also pledged continued support for the President’s reform agenda on behalf of the state and its residents.
