Uba Sani Visits National Mosque as El-Rufai’s Mother is Laid to Rest

Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, on Sunday visited the National Mosque Abuja for the funeral prayers of Hajiya Umma, mother of former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, who died on Thursday.

The governor joined family members, friends, and political associates at the mosque to pay his final respects to the deceased, whose passing has drawn sympathy from across the country.

Also in attendance was former presidential candidate, Peter Obi, reflecting the broad national presence at the solemn ceremony.

Hajiya Umma was remembered as a woman of strong faith, wisdom, and compassion, who devoted her life to the service of her family and community. Tributes described her as a pillar of moral strength and generosity whose legacy will endure.

Prayers were offered for the repose of her soul, with mourners seeking Allah’s forgiveness for her shortcomings and asking that she be granted Aljannatul Firdaus.
