SHAIBU CELEBRATES OSHIOMHOLE AT 74TH BIRTHDAY, PRAISES HIS DISCIPLINE AND GUIDANCE
The Director General and Chief Executive Officer of the National Institute for Sports, Comrade Philip Shaibu, has extended warm greetings to former Governor of Edo State and Senator Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole on the occasion of his 74th birthday. In a statement, Shaibu praised Oshiomhole’s years in public life, noting that they have reflected discipline, clarity of purpose, and a consistent engagement with national and state matters.

Shaibu stated that from Oshiomhole’s early days in organised labour to his time as Governor of Edo State and now as a member of the National Assembly, the senator has maintained a visible presence in the shaping of public discourse. On a personal note, Comrade Philip Shaibu acknowledged the role Oshiomhole has played as a father figure and a source of guidance over the years, adding that that influence remains appreciated.
As Oshiomhole marks his new age, Shaibu wished him good health, steady strength, and many more years of relevance and contribution to national development. Shaibu concluded, “Happy birthday, Your Excellency.” The signed statement read: “H.E. Comrade Philip Shaibu, DG/CEO, NIS.”
