Tinubu Visits Oba Of Lagos Amid Lagos Consultations Ahead Of 2027
President Bola Tinubu has visited the palace of the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu, in Lagos Island, as he continues engagements with political leaders and key stakeholders in the state.
President Tinubu arrived at the Iga Idunganran Palace to a large crowd of supporters and well-wishers who gathered outside the residence.
He was received by Oba Rilwan Akiolu, with the President and the monarch exchanging a warm embrace before proceeding into a private meeting.
The meeting lasted for about 30 minutes.
President Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, and Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, were also present at the palace.
Details of the discussion between the President and the Lagos monarch were not immediately made public by the Presidency.
The visit is part of President Tinubu’s ongoing engagements in Lagos, coming as political activities and consultations intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections.
After the meeting, the President emerged from the palace and acknowledged the supporters and well-wishers who had gathered outside.
He then departed the palace as the crowd continued to cheer.
