The First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, and the Director of Women Mobilisation of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Dr Betta Edu, have expressed confidence that the All Progressives Congress will emerge victorious in the 2027 general elections.

The declarations came on Monday in Abuja at the inauguration of the APC Presidential Women Campaign Council, held at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre.

Speaking at the event, the First Lady said the bold reforms of President Bola Tinubu were already yielding positive results and had qualified him for a second term. She said the administration’s economic progress reflected actual national stabilisation rather than mere political rhetoric.

“The theme of this year’s rally is not just a slogan; it is our reality,” she said. “Our economy is stabilising, inflation is coming down, foreign reserves are growing, and investors are returning to Nigeria. Our farmers are getting more support, and university students can now access interest-free loans through the NELFUND scheme.”

Mrs Tinubu announced that all independent women support groups previously operating under separate banners had been consolidated into a single party structure to create a more united front to mobilise votes for the President.

“We have collapsed every other women’s support group into one—from Tinubu Again to Torch Bearers and others,” she explained. “What you will see on the ballot box is APC. We are here to promote APC, nothing less.”

She charged the newly inaugurated council to mobilise voters at the grassroots across all 774 local government areas, covering campaigns for the presidency, governorships, the National Assembly, and State Houses of Assembly.

The women’s campaign will feature six geopolitical zonal mega-rallies, state rallies, and a grand finale in Abuja.

Also speaking, Dr Betta Edu, Director of Women Mobilisation of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, declared that President Tinubu would win again in 2027. She said APC women were targeting 40 million votes for the Tinubu-Shettima ticket, with mobilisation coordinated across the 36 states, 774 local government areas, wards, communities and polling units.

Edu emphasised that women constitute a major voting bloc in Nigeria and their support would be crucial to the President’s re-election bid.

“When we put our strength together and unite behind our President and his wife, victory is certain,” she said. “It is a 100-day sprint, and we will not relent until victory is achieved for President Tinubu. Our strength is in our numbers.”

She said the campaign would focus on communicating the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda 2.0, tagged “From Reforms to Prosperity,” to communities across the country.
