The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, alongside Minister of Marine and Blue Economy Adegboyega Oyetola and former governorship candidate Bola Oyebamiji, has expressed readiness to partner with Governor Ademola Adeleke to ensure President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.

The party announced that it has mobilised about 10,000 door-to-door canvassers to take the Tinubu administration’s achievements to the grassroots across all 30 local government areas of the state.

Osun APC Chairman Tajudeen Lawal disclosed this in a statement on Friday, saying the party structure is ready to work with Governor Adeleke, who is the coordinator of the Presidential Campaign Council for Tinubu’s re-election in the state.

“We have mobilised about 10,000 members of our party for a door-to-door campaign for President Bola Tinubu to take the good deeds of his administration to the grassroots across the 30 local government areas of Osun State,” Lawal said. “The reforms by the President are pruning the economy and paving the way for strong generational wealth”.

Lawal said the party leadership, backed by Oyetola and the state executive, had concluded plans to inaugurate the canvassers in Osogbo. He added that the party appreciated Governor Adeleke’s resolve to work for Tinubu’s re-election and urged him to incorporate all relevant stakeholders, including APC leaders and members, into the campaign structure.

The APC chairman further disclosed that the party had resolved to mobilise voters for all its candidates contesting the National Assembly and Osun State House of Assembly elections, and would set up a campaign council for those contests.

The development follows weeks of tension over the campaign council. Oyetola and Oyebamiji were absent when Adeleke inaugurated the 344-member Osun Presidential Campaign Council on October 22, with the state APC complaining it had not been formally notified of the event. Adeleke had repeatedly extended invitations to Oyetola’s camp, saying through his spokesperson Olawale Rasheed: “Let us come together within the council to mobilise for Mr President. All these issues of ‘I was invited, I was not invited’, people should grow beyond it”.
