A northern Christian support group, Arewa Christians for Tinubu 2027 (ACT-2027), has declared a one-day fasting and prayer session for President Bola Tinubu and Nigeria ahead of its planned campaign flag-off in Kaduna.

The group also announced plans to dedicate its national secretariat in Abuja on Saturday, October 24, 2026, as part of efforts to strengthen its operations across the 19 northern states and the Federal Capital Territory.

In a statement dated October 22, the National Coordinator of ACT-2027, Ambassador Ayuba Jacob Ngbako, said the fasting and prayers were aimed at seeking divine intervention for the president and the country ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The secretariat dedication ceremony is scheduled for 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Ogun House, No. 74, Central Business District, Abuja.

Expected guests include Right Reverend Stephen Tunde Adegbite, Archbishop John Praise Daniel, Senator Philip Tanimu Aduda, Reverend Kure Wumanyi and Bishop Jonathan Maaji.

Religious leaders, women and youth leaders, development partners and members of the press are also expected to attend the ceremony.

According to the group, the dedication will usher in a new phase of activities focused on translating faith into development through educational support, skills acquisition, empowerment programmes, humanitarian services, peacebuilding and civic education across Northern Nigeria.

ACT-2027 describes itself as an umbrella development platform representing Arewa Christians across the 19 northern states and the FCT.

The group reaffirmed its commitment to supporting development initiatives, promoting peaceful coexistence and encouraging civic engagement in the region.
