The All Progressives Congress (APC) has outlined a proposed nationwide campaign schedule for the 2027 general elections, with Kaduna State scheduled to host the presidential campaign flag-off on October 24, 2026, and Lagos State the grand finale on January 9, 2027.

The timetable, which covers Nigeria’s 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, provides for rallies and presidential appearances across the country’s six geopolitical zones.

According to the schedule published by Okay News, the campaign will move across major cities, including Port Harcourt, Jos, Ibadan, Maiduguri, Enugu, Sokoto, Asaba and Kano.

Other locations listed include Abuja, Owerri, Akure, Bauchi, Katsina, Uyo, Makurdi, Abeokuta, Awka, Gombe, Birnin Kebbi, Benin City, Ilorin, Osogbo, Umuahia, Damaturu, Gusau, Yenagoa, Minna, Ado-Ekiti, Abakaliki, Jalingo, Dutse, Calabar, Lokoja, Lafia and Yola.

The schedule identifies Kaduna as the official flag-off venue and Lagos as the location for the major closing rally.

It also marks 12 locations for presidential appearances, although specific venues and starting times for the rallies were not provided in the published document.

The proposed timetable follows an earlier announcement by the Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, who said President Bola Tinubu would begin his re-election campaign in Kaduna on October 24.

Yari disclosed this on October 9 after briefing the President on preparations for the campaign at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

He said the campaign council had developed a proposed timetable for state visits, which Tinubu had approved.

The nationwide rallies are expected to provide a platform for the ruling party to engage supporters and communicate its campaign message ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
