Apc Declares Reps Primary in Askira-Uba/Hawul, Borno Inconclusive
The All Progressives Congress Primary Election Committee in Borno State has declared the House of Representatives primary election for Askira-Uba/Hawul Federal Constituency inconclusive.
The chairman of the committee, Prophet Jones Ode Erue, announced the decision while addressing journalists at the APC secretariat in Maiduguri on Sunday, May 17.
Erue said the committee took the decision following a complaint received from one of the aspirants, Comrade Audu Garba Zali.
“At the Askira-Uba/Hawul federal constituency, complaints were received from one of the aspirants, Comrade Audu Garba Zali,” Erue stated. “Therefore, our committee shall wait for the report of the Appeal committee before results are announced.”
He remarked that the Askira-Uba/Hawul primary election is, therefore, inconclusive until the appeal process is concluded.
The chairman explained that direct primary elections were successfully conducted in two of the ten federal constituencies in the state.
He said Mustapha Abdullahi emerged winner in Bama/Ngala/Kalabalge federal constituency with 20,509 votes, while Abdulkadir Rahis secured the ticket for Maiduguri Metropolitan federal constituency with 38,576 votes.
