BRITISH GOVERNMENT BREAKS SILENCE ON ARMS SMUGGLING SUSPECT

The British Government has broken its silence on the individual recently arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS) for alleged arms trafficking in Nigeria. The British High Commission in Nigeria has clarified that the suspect had links to the British Army but was neither an officer nor an active member of the UK Armed Forces.

“The individual identified in recent Nigerian media reporting is not a serving member of the UK Armed Forces,” the British High Commission stated. The Commission explained that the individual had past ties to the British military, serving only as a junior rank in the UK Armed Forces Reserves before being discharged.
