CHELSEA WINS UEFA CONFERENCE LEAGUE TITLE WITH 4-1 THRASHING OF REAL BETIS

Chelsea has emerged as the champion of the UEFA Conference League after defeating Real Betis 4-1 in the final on Wednesday night. The match, held at the Wroclaw Stadium in Poland, saw Real Betis take an early lead with Abde Ezzalzouli scoring in the 9th minute. The Spanish team dominated the first half, with Chelsea struggling to create meaningful chances.

However, Chelsea made a remarkable comeback in the second half. Enzo Fernandez equalized for Chelsea in the 65th minute with a header from a Cole Palmer cross. Just five minutes later, Palmer set up Nicolas Jackson, who headed the ball into the net to give Chelsea a 2-1 lead.
As Real Betis began to tire, Chelsea sealed their victory with two more goals. Jadon Sancho scored the third goal in the 83rd minute with a stunning curling shot, and Moises Caicedo added a fourth goal in added time with a well-placed shot from 20 yards.
“Chelsea’s players celebrate with the trophy after the UEFA Conference League final football match between Real Betis and Chelsea FC in Wroclaw on May 28, 2025,” captures the euphoria of the moment.

This victory marks Chelsea’s first Conference League title and makes them the first club to win all four major European trophies: Champions League, Europa League, Conference League, and the now-defunct Cup Winners’ Cup. The win also brings silverware to the club under the Clearlake Capital ownership era.
