Mr. Isa Isawade Appointed Interim Chairman of NUJ Online Media Chapel Following Francis Ezediuno’s Resignation

Mr. Isa Isawade has been appointed as the new Interim Chairman of the Online Media Chapel of the Osun State Nigeria Union of Journalists, replacing Mr. Francis Ezediuno who resigned from the position.

The Chapel, which was created alongside the Broadcast Consolidated Chapel, was recently approved by the National body of the NUJ.

The two chapel interim executives were inaugurated at a congress held at the press center of the NUJ Osun State Council Secretariat on 19th August 2027 by the Executive Chairman of the Council, Comrade Dr. Adeyemi Aboderin.

The inaugurated executives of the Online Media Chapel included Mr. Francis Ezediuno as Chairman, Mr. Omidiran Seun as Vice Chairman, Mr. Nicolas Adekeye as Secretary, Mr. Isa Isawade as Financial Secretary, and Mr. Seyi Akanni as Treasurer.

However, Mr. Ezediuno subsequently notified the Council Chairman of his inability to retain the position of Chairman, citing conflicting engagements.

This development prompted an emergency meeting of available members of the exco, who unanimously appointed Mr. Isawade to take over the position.

Confirming the development, the new Interim Chairman, Mr. Isa Isawade, stated, “I am honoured by the confidence my colleagues have reposed in me. We will continue to work tirelessly to advance the interests of online journalism in Osun State.”

The Council Chairman, Comrade Dr. Adeyemi Aboderin, also commented, “We respect Mr. Ezediuno’s decision and fully support the emergency meeting’s resolution. We are confident that Mr. Isawade will provide the necessary leadership for the chapel.”
