NAWOJ LAUDS NUJ FOR SUCCESSFUL 70TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS

The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), FCT Chapter, has extended its heartfelt appreciation to the leadership of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) for the remarkable success of the 70th Anniversary celebrations. In a statement signed by the Chairperson of NAWOJ FCT, Bassey Ita Ikpang, the association congratulated the NUJ National President, Comrade Alhassan Yahaya, and the Deputy National President, Dr. Bimbo Oyetunde, for their exceptional leadership and dedication.

“We say a resounding congratulations and thank you to our indefatigable National President, Comrade Alhassan Yahaya, for the vision and dedication that were clearly evident throughout the celebrations,” Ikpang said. “Your brilliance and commitment left an unforgettable mark,” she added, commending Dr. Oyetunde’s role in the celebrations.

The NAWOJ FCT Chapter also expressed gratitude to the Council Chairperson, Comrade Grace Ike, for her leadership, support, and coordination, which were pivotal in delivering a memorable event. “Truly, it was a team effort, and the success belongs to us all,” Ikpang noted.

The association congratulated the NUJ on the awards and recognition given to NAWOJ national leadership, past and present, many of whom hail from the FCT Chapter. “We celebrate and congratulate all recipients on these well-deserved honours,” Ikpang said, specifically congratulating the NAWOJ National Chairperson, Comrade Aisha Ibrahim, on her recognition.
Ikpang also saluted past leaders of the NAWOJ FCT Chapter for their tireless service and continued support for the growth of the association. “Your legacies light the path for those coming behind,” she said.
The association expressed gratitude to all NAWOJIANS who journeyed to Abuja to join in the celebration and returned all glory to God for making it all possible. “We see you, we appreciate you, and we pray for journey mercies as you return to your various destinations,” Ikpang said.
