PDP Pays Solidarity Visit to ADC Over Threats to Opposition Parties
The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has paid a solidarity visit to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) following recent political attacks targeting opposition parties in Nigeria.

In a press release signed by Comrade Ini Ememobong, mnipr, National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, the party expressed concern over what it described as a growing and shared threat confronting opposition political parties across the country.
During the visit, the PDP noted that it has experienced similar pressures in recent times and stressed the urgent need for vigilance against actions capable of undermining democratic principles and political plurality.

The high-level PDP delegation included Seyi Makinde, Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, Adolphus Wabara, Jerry Gana, Babangida Aliyu, Taofeek Arapaja, Inna Ciroma, Ishaya Bamayi, Fred Agbedi, and Ini Ememobong.
They were received by prominent ADC leaders, including Atiku Abubakar, David Mark, Kashim Imam, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, Tunde Ogbeha, Peter Obi, Liyel Imoke, Rauf Aregbesola, Rotimi Amaechi, and Bolaji Abdullahi.
In their response, the ADC leadership expressed appreciation to the PDP for the visit and reiterated concerns over what they described as an existential threat to Nigeria’s democracy, particularly through the targeted weakening of major opposition parties.
Both parties affirmed their commitment to sustained engagement in defence of democratic values and institutions.
