FEDERAL HIGH COURT OF NIGERIA ANNOUNCES 2025 ANNUAL VACATION AND ROSTER FOR VACATION JUDGES
The Federal High Court of Nigeria has announced its 2025 Annual Vacation and Roster for Vacation Judges, as stated in an official circular signed by Dr. Catherine Oby Christopher, Director of Information, Federal High Court of Nigeria. Dr. Catherine Oby Christopher stated that the vacation will commence on Monday, July 28, 2025, and end on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. The Court will resume sitting on Wednesday, September 17, 2025. During the vacation period, the core Divisions in Abuja, Lagos, and Port-Harcourt Judicial Divisions will remain functional for cases of extreme urgency. Litigants are advised to approach only these courts located nearest to them for urgent matters. Christopher noted that “Consequently, the Litigating public will be at liberty to approach ONLY the above listed Courts located nearest to them.” The Vacation Judges for the specified divisions are:*Abuja* – Hon. Mohammed The Chief Judge of the Federal High Court of Nigeria, Honorable Justice John Terhemba Tsoho, wishes his fellow lordships a pleasant vacation in advance. Catherine Oby Christopher further stated that the vacation was by virtue of the provisions of Order 46, Rule 4 (d) of the Federal High Court (Civil Procedure) Rules 2019. Catherine Oby Christopher also confirmed the roster for vacation judges.
