APC APPROVES ALL SEVEN ASPIRANTS FOR ANAMBRA GOVERNORSHIP PRIMARY RACE
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has given the green light to all seven aspirants vying for its ticket in the upcoming Anambra State governorship primary, set to take place on April 5. The party’s screening committee, led by former Katsina State Governor Ibrahim Shema, reviewed and cleared the candidacies of Paul Chukwuma, Prof. Obiora Okonkwo, Nicholas Ukachukwu, Chukwuma Umeoji, Valentine Ozigbo, Johnbosco Onunkwo, and Edozie Madu. According to a statement released by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the aspirants have received their Certificates of Clearance at the party’s national headquarters in Abuja. Morka also revealed that Valentine Ozigbo was granted a special waiver to participate in the primary election, ensuring his eligibility to compete. In preparation for the primary, Morka urged all APC members in Anambra State, both new and existing, to complete the mandatory membership revalidation process as outlined by the party. “We are committed to a fair and transparent process that allows every member to participate fully,” he said. The APC expressed optimism about the cleared aspirants and called for unity among party members as they prepare for the governorship election. The primary is anticipated to be a highly competitive event as the party aims to field a strong candidate for the Anambra State governorship race.
