COMMONWEALTH BUSINESS WOMEN-AFRICA TO HOST INTERNATIONAL SUMMIT IN LAGOS
The Commonwealth Business Women-Africa (CBW-Africa) is set to host its International Summit in Lagos, Nigeria, from March 8-11, 2025, at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island. The summit, themed “Synergies for Sustainable Prosperity: Uniting Trade, Health, Wellness, Technological Advancement and Clean Energy Solutions in Africa,” aims to bring together leaders, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and advocates from 28 member countries to discuss sustainable development in Africa. According to Mrs. Ngozi Oyewole, President of CBW-Africa, the summit will be chaired by renowned Kenyan entrepreneur and philanthropist Nana Wanjau. The First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. Mrs. Ibijoke Claudiana Sanwo-Olu, will be the Special Guest of Honour. The event will feature speakers such as the Iyalode of Lagos, Alhaja Bintu Fatima Tinubu, and Madam Funlayo Bakare-Okeowo, Vice President of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Strategic partners, including the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, the Nigeria Investment Promotion Commission, and the MALPAI foundation, will also be in attendance. The summit promises to be a platform for meaningful discussions, collaborative efforts, and networking opportunities among women leaders and entrepreneurs from across Africa. As Mrs. Oyewole noted, the event is part of CBW-Africa’s activities to commemorate the 2025 International Women’s Day.
