CHINA STRENGTHENS TIES WITH NIGERIA AS FOREIGN MINISTER WANG YI ARRIVES IN ABUJA
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has arrived in Abuja, Nigeria on a tour of four African nations. He was received by the permanent secretary of foreign affairs ministry, Ambassador Dunoma Umar Ahmed and other top government officials. The Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, H.E. Ambassador Yu Dunhai was also present to welcome Wang Yi. Wang Yi’s visit is aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between China and Nigeria, building cooperation in key areas like trade, investment, and infrastructure development. The visit is expected to deepen diplomatic ties, promote mutual understanding, and explore new avenues for collaboration. While in Nigeria, Wang Yi is scheduled to hold high-level talks with government officials, discussing pressing global issues, regional security, and economic development. The visit is to enhance and consolidate China’s commitment in its partnership with Nigeria, driving growth, and promoting peace and stability in the region. The Chinese foreign minister will also meet with Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar.
