EZEOGO OMEZUE PAUL UCHENDU NDUKWE, OPIKE II, TO BE LAID TO REST FEBRUARY 27
The families of HRH Ezeogo Omezue Paul Athanasius Uchendu Ndukwe, Opike II, and the entire OPI Autonomous Community in Amasiri, Afikpo Local Government Area, Ebonyi State, have released the burial programme for the late traditional ruler. HRH Ezeogo Omezue Paul Uchendu Ndukwe passed away on March 27, 2024, at the age of 70. According to the programme, a wake will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Ogo Ihie, Ezi-umeke, Amasiri, Afikpo LGA starting at 5:00 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, February 27, 2025, by 10:00 a.m. at Amasiri Secondary School, Amasiri, Afikpo. A thanksgiving service will be held on 2nd March 2025, at the Catholic Church, Amasiri. The late traditional ruler was a retired military personnel, a graduate of the Yaba College of Technology, a trained professional business manager and Petroleum Surveyor. After his voluntary retirement from the Nigerian Army, he joined the corporate world and had a successful career in the Oil services sector in Lagos and Warri, retiring in 2014 at age 60. HRH Ezeogo Omezue Paul Uchendu Ndukwe was chosen as the Eze of Opi Autonomous Community in a free, fair, and credible election on November 20, 2021. He performed his duties creditably well until his demise on March 27, 2024. He is survived by an aged mother, his wife, Rev Patricia Ndukwe, three children; Ndukwe Jr. Onyinyechi, and Ejike, siblings, cousins, extended family, friends, and associates. The burial programme was signed by Dr John Ndukwe for the family.
