FRESH ATTACK IN KATSINA: OVER 20 FEARED DEAD

More than 20 people are feared dead following a violent attack on Doma “A” community in Faskari Local Government Area of Katsina State’s Southern Senatorial District. The Chairman of Faskari Local Government, Bala Ado, confirmed the incident to ARISE News, saying that several others sustained injuries and over 100 residents were displaced. According to Ado, the attack occurred on Tuesday, lasting nearly three hours from noon to 3 p.m. local time. Burial arrangements for the victims are reportedly scheduled for Wednesday. Faskari LGA is among the frontline communities that had previously entered a communal peace agreement with armed bandits, raising concerns about the sustainability of peace in the area amid recurring attacks.
