FRANCE WIN 2025 SIX NATIONS TITLE WITH DOMINANT DISPLAY AGAINST SCOTLAND
France were crowned the 2025 Six Nations champions after a convincing 35-16 victory over Scotland at the Stade de France. The home side dominated the match, with centre Yoram Moefana named player of the match. “It was a very tough game, Scotland is a big team and I want to say thank you to the team because we were fighting with Scotland from start to finish. It’s amazing,” Moefana said. France’s defence coach Shaun Edwards was also thrilled with the win, which marked his 250th rugby union international as a coach. “The stars aligned for me tonight,” Edwards said. “We showed resilience in defence second half, when we only conceded three points.” Edwards also praised try machine Louis Bielle-Biarrey, who scored his record-equalling eighth try of the championship. “Since the World Cup in 2023 he has gotten better and better, and hopefully he gets better again. He is a sensational athlete, a wonderful guy.” Scotland put up a brave fight, but ultimately fell short. “Scotland played bravely once again. They moved the ball so well. Kinghorn is a star rising. They are going to have to work out how to execute closer to the line under pressure,” one commentator noted. The win marked a triumphant end to the Six Nations campaign for France, who will celebrate their championship win with a trophy lift.
