MOURNING TURNS TO PURPOSE AS HIGH CHIEF DR. CHETACHI NWOGA ECTON LAUNCHES MEDICAL OUTREACH IN MEMORY OF LATE MOTHER
High Chief Dr. Chetachi Nwoga Ecton, Founder and CEO of WIN and Elimh Foundation, has turned her grief into purpose by launching a Medical and Mission of Mercy Outreach in memory of her late mother, Ezinne Priscilla Chinyere (PC) Nwoga. The outreach is scheduled to take place on Saturday, July 5th, at Garki Primary School. During a media briefing held at the NUJ FCT Council Secretariat, Dr. Nwoga Ecton welcomed distinguished guests, partners, and members of the press, while paying tribute to her mother’s legacy. “With a heart both heavy and grateful, I welcome you all here today. Heavy-because I stand before you not only as the Founder and CEO of (WIN), and the Elimh Foundation, but today, I stand before you as a daughter in mourning,” she said. Despite her loss, Dr. Nwoga Ecton emphasized the importance of uniting in purpose. “Yet, even in mourning, we unite in purpose. In the spirit of her legacy-of kindness, healing, and dignity for every soul-I have chosen to turn pain into purpose,” she said. The outreach aims to provide medical care for infants and children from 0 to 12 years, fulfilling the scripture that says, “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.” Dr. Nwoga Ecton invited everyone to join the mission, saying, “Join us in honoring a life well lived by becoming a vessel of life for others.” Several organizations have pledged their support for the initiative, including the Abuja Charity Marathon Ambassadors, International Women Power Conference, NOGALSS, JMA FCT Branch, Hickman Foundation, and many others. Dr. Nwoga Ecton expressed gratitude to these partners, saying, “Your support speaks volumes. It proves that service to humanity knows no tribe, no religion, no social class. It simply knows love.” The event also featured the support and presence of royal fathers, including HRM Igwe Samuel Ikechukwu Asadu and HRH Usman Nga Kupi, Emir of Garki Abuja Jaba. Dr. Nwoga Ecton acknowledged their presence, saying, “Your presence today honors not only my mother’s memory, but also the values we all cherish: unity, peace, and shared responsibility.”
