OYO GOVERNOR SEYI MAKINDE’S 2027 ASPIRATION GAINS SUPPORT FROM HON. DARE ADELEKE
The Special Adviser to Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State on Federal Constituency Matters, Hon. Dare Adeleke, has declared his unwavering support for the governor ahead of the 2027 election year. Adeleke, who also serves as Chairman of the PDP Caretaker Committee in Ekiti State, criticized the All Progressives Congress (APC) over comments regarding Governor Makinde’s potential candidacy in the 2027 national elections. “The APC is in mortal fear of a potential Makinde ticket under the PDP,” Adeleke said in a telephone interview. “They know his candidacy could spell doom for their disastrous administration, arguably the most disappointing government in Nigeria’s history.” Adeleke praised Makinde’s developmental strides, contrasting them with what he described as the APC’s failure. “Look at Oyo State under Makinde, all sectors are thriving. He has built and rehabilitated roads not just in the capital, but across the entire state. He introduced a seamless and affordable transportation network that rivals systems in other parts of the world, despite the fuel price hike caused by Tinubu’s administration.” He emphasized that Nigerians are watching and they know who truly has the capacity to lead. “Makinde saying he has what it takes to lead this country is simply stating the obvious. The APC’s panic is understandable. They know 2027 will not be a walk in the park. The people are ready to boot them out.” Adeleke concluded confidently, “Let it be known that if Makinde runs for president, he will win. His record and the goodwill he enjoys from the people yearning for real change, not the empty slogan sold to the people by APC. The people are now on high alert. Tell them, Nigerians are wiser now.” “I stand firmly with my governor, His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde,” Adeleke said. “He’s young, vibrant, and intellectually capable. Nigerians are tired of geriatrics who seek power only to enrich themselves and their cronies.”
