DANGOTE GROUP EXTENDS CONDOLENCES TO REALITY TV STAR PHYNA OVER SISTER’S DEATH

The Dangote Group has extended its condolences to the family of reality TV star, Phyna, following the death of her sister, Ruth Otabor. Ruth died from injuries sustained in a recent accident involving one of the company’s trucks in Auchi, Edo State.

In a statement issued via its official X handle, the company described Ruth’s death as a painful loss. “We are deeply saddened by the passing of Ruth Otabor, who was injured in the recent road incident involving one of our trucks in Auchi, Edo State,” the statement read.

The company revealed that Ruth had been slated for medical evacuation to India for specialist treatment before her sudden demise, pending clearance from her doctors. “Arrangements had been made for her to be flown to India for advanced treatment, pending medical clearance from her doctors. Sadly, despite these efforts and Ruth’s brave fight to live, we lost her today,” the statement added.

The Dangote Group reiterated its commitment to safety, compassion, and accountability, saying: “At Dangote Group, safety, accountability, and compassion remain at the core of our operations. We remain committed to strengthening our safety systems and supporting those affected in moments of tragedy.”

The company extended its heartfelt condolences to Ruth’s family, friends, and loved ones, saying: “On behalf of the entire Dangote Group, we extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and loved ones at this difficult time.” The company also prayed for Ruth’s soul, saying: “May God grant her mercy and eternal rest.”
