PRESIDENT TINUBU WELCOMES DENMARK’S RICHEST MAN TO ABUJA FOR INVESTMENT TALKS

On October 28, 2025, President Bola Tinubu welcomed Anders Holch Povlsen, Denmark’s richest man and CEO of Bestseller, to the State House in Abuja. The visit, part of Nigeria’s ongoing efforts to attract foreign investment, included the Danish Ambassador to Nigeria, Jens Hansen, and other senior officials.

Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, announced the meeting on social media, emphasizing its significance. “This meeting is pivotal for strengthening economic ties between Nigeria and Denmark,” Onanuga stated.

In related news, Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Jumoke Oduwole, reported that President Tinubu’s international trips have yielded proposed investments exceeding $50.8 billion. “These investment pledges, including those from recent engagements such as our trip to Brazil, reflect our administration’s unwavering commitment to enhancing Nigeria’s economic landscape and creating opportunities for our citizens,” Oduwole said.

The meeting with Povlsen underscores Nigeria’s strategy to build partnerships with global business leaders, aiming to foster development across various sectors.
