C&SO MOVEMENT CHURCH MOURNS, CONDEMNS KIDNAPPING OF 177 WORSHIPPERS IN KADUNA

The Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide, Ayo Ni O, has expressed deep sorrow over the attack and abduction of its members during a Sunday worship service in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The church disclosed that the incident occurred on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at Kurmin Wall community in the Iburu District of Afogo, Kajuru LGA, where two Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church congregations in Wali were attacked by suspected bandits.

According to the church, a total of 151 members of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church and 26 members of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) were kidnapped while worshipping during the service.

The development was contained in a press statement issued on Thursday and signed by Prophet (Dr.) A. Anthony Sesan Samaye, JP, FCIHRM, MNIM, DIIHP, Conference Secretary General of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide, Ayo Ni O.

Describing the incident as deeply painful and distressing, the church said the attack has plunged worshippers, families, and the entire Christian community into grief, fear, and concern.

The church’s Spiritual Father and Supreme Head (Olori) of the Cherubim and Seraphim Unification Church Worldwide, His Most Eminence, Prophet (Dr.) Emmanuel Adewale Abodun Alogbo, JP, FNACM, D.D.M, GCOMS, strongly condemned the attack, describing it as reprehensible, heinous, inhumane, and ungodly.

He stressed that members of the church are peace-loving citizens whose only desire is to worship God and live godly lives, noting that subjecting them to fear, trauma, and captivity is unacceptable.

The church called for divine intervention for the safe and unharmed release of the abducted worshippers, urging God to frustrate the plans of the captors and secure the victims’ swift return to their families.

It also appealed to the Federal Government and the Kaduna State Government to urgently rise to their constitutional responsibility of protecting lives and property, warning that the growing wave of insecurity, kidnapping, and violence across the country requires decisive and sincere action.

The church further called on Christians in Nigeria and across the world to unite in prayers for the abducted worshippers, peace in the country, and divine healing for the nation.

Despite the tragedy, the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide, Ayo Ni O, said it remains hopeful, prayerful, and steadfast in faith, pledging to continue prayer and advocacy until all abducted members are safely reunited with their families.

The church also prayed for comfort and strength for affected families, as well as healing and restoration for Nigeria.
